No more competitive struggle for the title in the 2010 MotoGP season. Title surely belongs to Jorge Lorenzo. However, Fiat Yamaha's star is still facing serious races remaining that still amounted to three more, including at Phillip Island, Australia, this weekend.
Finishing third in the MotoGP competition Malaysia, is enough for Lorenzo to ensure the world title. That success made him secure the top of the MotoGP standings with a total of 313 achievement points. He can not be overtaken again by the only competitor that might thwart, the Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa.
"I was one of the happiest people in the world. We succeeded in realizing this dream. I am proud to support the team, partners and sponsors. But the race is not over, there are still three races left," said Lorenzo's Crash was quoted as saying.
But this success does not make Lorenzo forget the other races. Spaniard admitted to stay focused to face the next three races remaining, including the Australian Grand Prix which will take place October 17.
"We must focus face the rest of this race, fight for the podium and without pressure in the race for the championship, we expect the best results in races later," he continued.
"I really like racing at Phillip Island, this is one of my favorite track and probably the fastest on the MotoGP calendar.'s Always astonishing race there. But the weather is a little different with Malaysia, there is very cold," he said.
